Baby Steps

I've been drawing everyday since I started. So far it's been a bunch of crumbs. I did some basic perspective stuff one day, came up with another design for the store, started workin' on an idea for an online comic, and worked on more perspective stuff today.

It's really hard to do this every day because mom and I are out lookin' for a house most of the day and it is much more exhausting than you'd think. It's also quite stressful. Our plan has changed on a week to week basis, and sometimes day to day or hour to hour.

What we're thinking of doing now is getting a house in Oklahoma in Muskogee or Tahlequah so I can go to school at NSU in the summer or fall next year. Until then, I will focus on artwork and learning Maya. I'll see if I can make a demo video and hopefully send it out before starting school. At school I'll work on a Liberal Arts degree and then move on to Museum Studies for post-graduate. But Jason said he is going to talk to someone he knows at a museum and find out if it's necessary to go through Museum Studies at all, or if I even need a Bachelor. If I could get a job now in a museum, I could rework my plan, maybe take classes in the evening.

It may sound crazy to be going for two different careers at almost the same time, but I am worried about animation being so competitive and the economy isn't so great right now. I don't know how well that industry is hiring. If I don't get a job doing that, I would like to work in a museum somewhere. Art or natural history, it wouldn't matter, I love both. The cool thing about working in a museum (other than the fact that IT'S A MUSEUM!) is that there are museums all over the world that I could work in.

I love museums.

XOXOX,
Loch
